Afina was born and raised in Chisinau, Moldova, with Armenian and Greek roots. Surrounded by diverse cultures and music, she discovered her passion for singing early on.

At 19, Afina moved to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time, but moving completely on her own meant she only started focusing on her music career in 2022. The journey challenged her but led to new opportunities and artistic growth.
(Currently)
Despite starting with no industry connections, Afina made her debut as a songwriter in 2022–2023, releasing a series of singles she wrote or co-wrote—one of which hit 1 million views within the first few days of release. She then made history as the first Moldovan on The Voice, built her team, and is now working on her debut EP while performing regularly across LA, perfecting her live shows and showcasing her powerful vocals.
